We are looking for a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO), preferably that is bilingual in English and Spanish, to help us drive our residential loan business. While this role is fully remote, our MLO, is expected to come on site to our branch network and to our headquarters in Branchburg, NJ, for meetings and trainings. You can expect to visit locations in any of the counties listed above. Additionally, you will be asked to take part in different networking and community events in, and around, the Northern and Central NJ areas. The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and sells FRFCU's mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals. In this sales role, the MLO continually identifies, develops and maintains a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities. We would prefer a candidate with an established referral network! We are looking for someone who exemplifies the following traits: Caring Initiative Ethics Job Knowledge Self-Development Teamwork Sales Goals Product Expertise Customer Service Results Driven Some of your essential duties will include, but are not limited to: Business Development Calls on current SEG groups, Realtors, Builders and Developers to solicit mortgage loans Maintain a business referral network through marketing, cold-calling, prospecting and networking activities. Participate in community efforts to promote home ownership. Executes Loan Application Process in full Meet with prospective borrowers.
Review / Analyze
credit and financial data. Determine borrower financing objectives and goals. Generates new ideas to facilitate productivity and enhance the member experience. Present appropriate FRFCU products and programs and explain guidelines. Documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past 12 months of $6 million (minimum) Apprise of pricing and lock rate as required. Identify appropriate opportunities to sell additional products. Collect supporting loan documentation as required and provide complete package to Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Experience with Encompass preferred. Loan Management Work with Mortgage Loan Underwriter to ensure that loan docs are submitted to FRFCU promptly. Work with Mortgage Loan Underwriter to ensure that loan conditions are met. Provide on-going communication to customer and realtor / referral source regarding loan status. Utilize Encompass to check for notes and conditions. Professional Development Attend and complete all FRFCU required training.
