Role Description Chicago Title is seeking a dedicated Escrow Specialist/Coordinator for a full-time, on-site position in the Greater Chicago, IL Metro Area. The Escrow Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the documentation and coordination required for successful real estate transactions. Responsibilities Receive, organize, and prepare documents for pending real estate transactions. Seamlessly balance email, phone and in person communication. Prepare and distribute closing files for Escrow Officers. Collaborate closely with attorneys and lenders to prepare closing statements and update figures. Balance escrow files using the sums of incoming wires, deposits and disbursements. Proactively collect necessary documentation from all parties involved in the transaction to ensure a smooth and efficient closing process. Work with title examiners and underwriters to address and resolve title clearance issues.
Qualifications Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders by email, phone and in person.
Organizational Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Technological Proficiency:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of escrow software systems is a plus.
Team Player:
Ability to collaborate effectively within the escrow department and with other departments involved in the transaction process.
Professionalism:
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive transaction information.
Experience:
Previous experience in an escrow-related role or within the real estate industry is advantageous.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Basic math skills are required. Title Insurance experience is a plus. SoftPro experience is a plus.
