Full Job Description Description:
Southwest Electric Is looking for a Wire Technician on 1st or 2nd Shift for our Louisville, Ohio location. For 75 years and counting. Southwest Electric Co. is an electrical services and equipment provider for energy generation companies and a variety of industrial markets. We offer a wide range of services, including engineering and design for custom product development.
Wire Technician Summary:
A wireman will install electrical components and wiring for our potential transformers, relay cases and control switches and meters using an array of tools and equipment. Successful candidates will have prior experience in electrical wiring and reading of blueprints and schematics correctly. Wire Technician 1st shift Monday
  • Friday 7am
  • 3:30pm 2nd Shift Monday
  • Friday 3:30pm
  • 12am Wire Technician Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Read and interpret schematic drawings, point to point diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions.
Experience with Control Voltage (AC/DC), Relay Testing or Troubleshooting. Assemble electrical systems and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or conduit using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly. Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths. Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments. Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for operation and record results. Must be mechanically / electrically inclined and be able to work with minimum supervision. Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Wire Technician:
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and physical. Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check. Ability to lift 50 + lbs., climb ladders, stand, or kneel for extended periods of time. Ability to read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures. High School Diploma or
GED REQUIRED
