Job Description

Nesco Resource Welder in Cleveland , Ohio Nesco Resource, 14 time winner of the Best in Staffing Award, is looking for welders/fitters for a reputable west side company. Our client was featured on Manufacturing Marvels on the Fox Business Network for their work with decorative architecture, stay cable components, and the heat treating industry. Also featured in Crains Business Magazine , our client's latest work was erected for a Park Avenue Exhibit on Park Avenue in New York City. As the Welder/Fitter you would be responsible for assisting the production team to ensure excellence in manufacturing, quality and production operations, with safety of associates being the highest priority. Salary:
$22•$30/hr BOE, with performance based increase given upon permanent hire.
Shift:
1^st^ shift working Monday•Friday with occasional Saturday for OT. (7am•330pm) Temp to Hire opportunity with the company. Responsibilities Positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications. Determines required equipment, welding method and welding techniques. Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts. Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc on welder. Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies. Primarily MIG welding, some TIG welding or Sub-arc welding. Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment. Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Removes rough spots from work piece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper. Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Skills/Qualifications 3+ years' experience in MIG welding working with material such as carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, and others. Experience with TIG welding is a plus. Be able to read and follow a blueprint, read a tape measure, and perform basic math. Will need to have flexibility to cross train and help in Elyria plant for short periods of time. High School Diploma or GED. Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
