They are seeking a Operations Planning Coordinator for their highly automated manufacturing facility in Tonganoxie, Kansas. This position is essential in executing production scheduling, managing inventory replenishment, and ensuring seamless coordination of raw and packaging materials to meet demand efficiently. What You'll Do The Operations Planning Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining supply chain efficiency by developing and executing production schedules while ensuring optimal inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards at all times. Implement and maintain the master production schedule , adjusting for operational needs. Utilize SAP systems to manage production plans, inventory control, and schedule adherence. Verify accuracy of daily transactions within SAP, production reporting, and yield tracking. Conduct physical and system-based inventories on a monthly and quarterly basis. Troubleshoot production scheduling issues, inventory discrepancies, and yield variances, escalating concerns as needed. Monitor productivity metrics, including scrap rates, cycle time, plant service levels, and schedule attainment. Collaborate with the Planning Manager to drive improvements in customer service, cost efficiency, and supply chain productivity. Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SAP material master records while assisting with product cost analysis. Oversee inventory processes to ensure proper handling of receiving, inventory control, and working capital management. Coordinate with Inventory, Planning & Deployment (IPD) teams to support both domestic and international demand. Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, including quality assurance, traceability, and supply chain security. Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices that enhance factory performance and reliability.
Who You Are Required Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in production planning, supply chain coordination, purchasing, or logistics. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in finished goods production planning and inventory replenishment. Background in food manufacturing or a similar industry. Strong skills in SAP, systems thinking, and supply chain management. Ability to analyze inventory, production, and operational data to drive efficiencies. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Broader understanding of supply chain management principles.
