As an Automation Assembly Technician, you will collaborate with a team to assemble and wire automation equipment based on provided schematics, while conducting necessary testing. You will ensure equipment meets project cost and schedule objectives by assembling, testing, and debugging machinery, utilizing both electrical/pneumatic schematics and CAD drawings throughout the process. Essential functions Collaborate with a team to assemble automation equipment and perform electrical wiring of automation systems according to provided schematics. Assemble, test, and debug automation equipment to meet project cost and schedule objectives, utilizing drawings or electrical/pneumatic schematics. Work closely with mechanical and electrical designers, as well as the inside sales team, to identify and resolve issues during the assembly process. Monitor and update project status regularly, ensuring alignment with project details and bringing any technical or safety concerns to the attention of the supervisor. Troubleshoot and debug automation equipment as needed, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. Utilize CAD drawings or electrical/pneumatic schematics for machinery assembly Supervisory responsibilities None Travel required None Qualifications Actively listen and provide clear, concise, and professional communication. Hands-on experience working with electrical wiring, control systems, and pneumatic schematics. Experience working alongside mechanical/electrical designers and project managers during the building process. Exemplary customer service skills at all levels within and outside the company. Work cooperatively with internal and external teams to achieve goals. Build relationships, share knowledge, and contribute to company direction. Maintain confidentiality and adapt well to ambiguity. Self-motivated- take the initiative and complete projects proactively with attention to detail. problem-solver Meet deadlines and follow through with responsibilities in a timely manner. Preferred education and experience High School Diploma or GED (required) Minimum of 2 years of experience in assembly or related field. Technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus. Previous experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting automation equipment or machinery. Physical Demands.
