In this role, you will be expected to manage end-to-end recruitment processes, administer training programs, and work towards enhancing our employer brand.
Responsibilities:
Conduct outreach activities at local educational institutions such as high schools, colleges, and trade schools. Work closely with management and supervisors to understand and anticipate staffing needs. Utilize various software platforms, social media, and networking events to advertise open positions and attract talent. Oversee scheduling and conducting of interviews with applicants, both via phone and in-person. After consultation with leadership, extend job offers to suitable candidates. Arrange pre-employment drug screens and initial background checks. Collaborate with office administration on onboarding processes. Attend local recruitment fairs and organize company recruitment events. Act as the Education Contact with ABC of Iowa, enrolling current and new apprentices biannually. Maintain apprentice files in accordance with Dept. of Labor regulations and keep records of On-the-job training (OJT) hours for all apprentices. Stay updated on all changes to the apprenticeship program and conduct meetings for all new apprentices to outline company policies and set expectations. Facilitate administration needs for In-House Apprenticeship Programs and In-House Skills Training. Plan and execute continuing education for licensed tradesmen and facilitate renewals of licenses with the PMSB for all permanent employees. Conduct new employee orientations and develop referral programs to encourage current employees to refer skilled workers. Coordinate company events to boost morale, gain employee loyalty, and build a strong team mentality. Work on enhancing employee retention and improving our company culture. Proficiency in Applicant Track System Experience conducting Background Checks Understanding of Benefit Functions within a company Comfort with Cold Calling potential candidates Knowledge of College recruiting strategies and tactics Expertise in Full Cycle Recruiting Strong Recruiting skills across various platforms and mediums Ability to plan and execute Recruiting Activities Proven success in previous Recruiting Efforts Experience organizing and attending Recruiting Events Familiarity with standard Recruiting Functions In-depth understanding of the Recruiting industry Ability to develop and implement Recruiting Initiatives Knowledge of various Recruiting Processes Ability to create effective Recruiting Strategies Familiarity with various Recruiting Techniques Experience developing Brand Strategies Proven ability to increase Brand Awareness Experience with New Employee Orientation Proficiency in Onboarding new employees Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to Develop Job Descriptions that attract quality candidates Experience Rewriting Job Descriptions to better fit company needs Comfort conducting Phone Screens with potential candidates Experience with Pre-employment Testing methods and processes Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
