Driving Requirement:

This position requires a Current Texas Class A Commercial Driver License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin's Driver Record Evaluation ( DRE ) requisite . To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months. DRE will be verified through the Department of Public Safety. Job Offer is contingent on having a driving record that meets the City's Driver Record Evaluation Standards. Hours Night Shift:

Applicants Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience:

Experience pulling tractor trailers/tankers. Tanker endorsements within 6 month of employment. Experience driving 18 wheelers with 13 Speed standard/manual transmission. Ability to operate Class A vehicles and power take-off units (PTO) Operates a variety of vehicles, which include tractor trailers, dump trucks and sludge tank trucks. Extensive 18 Wheeler driving experience on City roadways. Ability to operate tractor trailers productively and efficiently Duties, Functions and Responsibilities Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following.
