The candidate will be responsible for: Entering and processing vendor invoices including verifying account coding, etc. Process and reconcile all credit card bills Process all vendor payments including checks and ACH Process bi-monthly payroll. Our office currently uses Paychex Manage weekly bank balances to provide for maximum earnings Prepare and post various journal entries Assist CFO with various G/L account reviews/reconciliations Month-end closings of accounts payable Monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts When necessary, answer the phone and direct all inquiries to appropriate staff Other miscellaneous duties as assigned The best candidate will have the following skills: Prior accounts payable experience preferred. Bachelor or Associate Degree in Accounting related field strongly preferred, high school diploma required Experience using a property management software program is a plus. Our office currently uses RealPage. Ability to learn quickly via on-the-job training, reviewing manuals, and asking questions when necessary. Ability to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions. Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word. Superior communication and organizational skills enabling the candidate to effectively communicate and work with all levels of personnel. Ability to self-supervise and prioritize open tasks. The salary for the Accounts Payable Specialist is dependent on experience and will range between $45,000 and $50,000. We provide full benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, retirement plan, and generous paid-time-off policies. In addition, pay rate reviews, including bonuses, are performed annually.
