We provide comprehensive services, including mental health support, to improve the well-being of children and families in our community. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist with a strong background in Medicaid billing for mental health services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, submitting claims, and ensuring accurate reimbursement in compliance with Medicaid regulations Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit Medicaid claims for mental health services using appropriate billing software. Monitor claim status, follow up on unpaid claims, and resolve billing issues promptly. Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage. Maintain accurate records of billing activities and generate regular reports. Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and internal staff to resolve discrepancies. Ensure compliance with Medicaid and other regulatory billing requirements. Assist in identifying trends in billing errors and recommend process improvements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on Medicaid billing for mental health services. Strong knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
