Job Description:
Accounts Payable Clerk We are looking for a full-time, disciplined Accounts Payable clerk to join our team of professionals to be tasked with a wide range of key responsibilities. Knowledge and experience in the construction industry and/or accounts payable processing is preferable but not required. This person must have an innovative and entrepreneurial mind set, strong ability to decipher and prioritize tasks, pay acute attention to detail, and possess the ability to perform under pressures of sensitive schedules and deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities- Codes invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
- Daily management of matching purchase orders and subcontracts to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices.
- Review credit card transaction tagging and support documentation.
- Vendor credit tracking proper application to vendor payments.
- Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Handles vendor correspondence via phone or email.
- Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports.
- Assists with monthly status reports, accruals, and monthly closings.
- Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department. Skills and Qualifications

- Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, namely Microsoft Excel.
- Desire to learn and use a variety of software, tools, and systems necessary to meet business needs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of construction industry terminology and documents.
- Possesses general math skills.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures and standards.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally. Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- 1-3 years accounts payable experience.
