The Job We are looking for an E&I Technician for our Conroe, Texas plant. Some of your main duties & responsibilities: Maintain electrical systems and instrumentation for the blending, bottling, warehousing and ongoing construction of a chemical esterification plant with a startup of 2026. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of instruments, ensuring accurate monitoring and control of variables like pressure, flow, and temperature in automated processes. Follows the predefined preventative maintenance schedule for various equipment. Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, NEC (National Electric Code), and other relevant safety and regulatory standards for electrical and instrumentation systems. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support continuous improvement efforts on the bottling line. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and instruments. Analyze performance data and recommend adjustments or upgrades to enhance process efficiency, reliability, and safety. Assist with the installation of new equipment and the integration of instrumentation and controls into existing systems. Provide technical support during HSE audits and ensure proper documentation of all electrical and instrumentation work. Who are we looking for? You'll succeed if:
Required Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within a manufacturing environment, ideally in chemical production. Hands-on experience with bottling lines or similar high-speed automated production systems. Proficiency with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, and instrumentation used in chemical manufacturing. Certifications in electrical safety or instrumentation (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician). Strong knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and other relevant safety and electrical standards. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments to resolve issues quickly. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related field or High School Diploma with a combination of relevant work experience Experience in chemical manufacturing environment.
