Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will work in a manufacturing facility to support all equipment maintenance needs. The position requires basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The individual must have good communication skills, be able to read blueprints and be proficient at using hand tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Work under general supervision.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Provide assistance to technicians as needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation for work performed (work orders).
  • Order replacement parts and stock inventory levels.
  • Communicate with outside contractors regarding repairs.
  • Assist in training lower level personnel as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance assignments.
  • Support electrical, construction, and other maintenance projects as directed.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently bend, reach, twist, pull, push, climb, stand, sit, kneel, and/or walk during the course of the day.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with basic hand tools required.
  • Understanding of pneumatics, electrical and basic structural requirements helpful.
  • Must possess effective problem solving skills and self-starting abilities.
  • Ability to use all major hand tools.
  • Possess working knowledge of crane operations and rigging techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to program PLC's for industrial applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting AC/DC drives and servo systems highly desirable.
