Summary/Objective:

Responsible for the service and installation and testing of automatic Sprinkler fire suppression systems. Works with the service team to install new systems and inspect older sprinkler systems.

Essential Functions:

Reads and interprets drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements Installs clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment Connects piping system to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment Tests system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment Trains and directs the day to day work of a Helper Maintains appropriate documentation for the work performed Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

No Required:

1+ years of experience as a Service Sprinkler Fitter; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience Ability to interpret blueprints and architectural drawings preferred Knowledge of NFPA Standards Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history) Must adhere to all company policy and procedures Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
