This fully remote, travel-based position allows you to lead crews on critical landfill construction and fly ash disposal projects across the country. With a strong commitment to employee well-being, flexibility, and internal growth, this company is rapidly expanding and looking for versatile, hands-on professionals to join its high-retention team. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Operator Foreman (Heavy Equipment) position include: Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment experience in construction, dirt work, or landfill operations. Knowledge of construction materials, methods, tools, equipment, and regulations, including OSHA 30 certification. Lead a crew on-site, coordinate daily activities, and ensure safety compliance, tool/material availability, and job performance. Operate and oversee various classes of mobile heavy equipment and haul trucks, ensuring proper maintenance. Handle administrative duties including timesheets, data entry, schedule updates, and field reporting using Microsoft 365. Travel 80-90% to project locations, with projects lasting from one month to six years—off-season periods are still paid. Promote safety culture by conducting JHAs, toolbox talks, and safety inspections, while mentoring and training employees. Communicate with superintendents, manage employee performance, and maintain a positive and harassment-free work environment.
Salary:
$70,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
