Come join our team and succeed with us! West Coast Endodontics in SE Portland is in search of a Lead Dental Assistant who exhibits quality service, commitment, accountability, and excellence. Are you looking for a challenge in a role you can grow professionally? As a Lead Dental Assistant , you must set an example for the staff by following the guidelines established by the practice. As a clinical lead, you will take on tasks beyond the average dental assistant role. Duties and Responsibilities Inventory / Equipment Inventory / Ordering of dental supplies and emergency/rescue supplies Maintenance of Equipment and all clinical areas Become familiar with minor office/equipment repairs Coordinate repairs in and out of the office Maintain/coordinate routine equipment maintenance Report any issues or inadequacies to Practice Administrator and doctor Staff supervision in partnership with
Practice Administrator and Doctor:
Arrivals, lunches, and dismissals Facilitate morning huddles Uniforms, hygiene & proper PPE Performance of daily responsibilities including: Proper patient management Proper treatment room management and sterilization Proper records management Adhering to office protocols and federal/state guidelines Assist in training and retraining of clinical staff Guidelines and Regulations set forth by OSHA, HIPAA, CDC and other federal/state agencies : Responsibility of daily, weekly and monthly checklists and reporting including: Daily, weekly and monthly clinical checklists Assign responsibilities to another member of team during vacations or absence from the office. Take initiative to review these checklists when scheduled in another location This position is in a dental practice setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Required Skills / Abilities Competency in taking x-rays, CBCT and sterilization techniques Strong written skills/proficiency with chart notation Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse range of individuals; customer service skills to ensure positive patient courtesy Technical skills and proficiency with dental care Technological familiarity with EMR software, Microsoft office (with a working knowledge of Word and Excel), web portals, etc. Dexterity including the ability to handle instruments effectively with both hands Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Dental Assistant diploma/certification from an accredited program Radiology certificate Three years of experience in a dental practice; equivalent education and/or experience will be considered CPR certification Preferred Qualifications Endodontics Experience Bilingual in Vietnamese CBCT experience Strong familiarity w/Electronic Medical Record software Problem-solving skills; good judgment; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision Work well in a group environment Highly developed organizational, planning, and communication skills Our patient schedule: Mon
