Job Description This position will manage warehouse operations, overseeing inventory accuracy, employee issues, quality, safety, and efficiency. The individual will collaborate with all departments to implement processes ensuring operational effectiveness and production adherence, while fostering a respectful and accountable environment focused on teamwork, safety, and security. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time: Responsible for scheduling and maintaining an accurate and efficient inventory system. Monitor processes and procedures to meet all production goals. Interview, train, develop, schedule and monitor employees that work in the shipping department. Maintain accurate and complete records Complete cycle counts as required. Follow up on the prompt issuance and completion of work orders. Maintain a good working relationship with suppliers, patrons, employees, and customers. Be on call and come into the plant as needed, which may include any time outside of the normal shift and weekends. Obtain forklift certification and training requirements, responsible for training employees on forklifts. Continually work with the plant to reduce under-grade product, foreign material, and quality complaints. Play an active role in inspecting, reviewing, and following up on all plant and department audits. Emphasize, train, and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Crosstrain with the receiving department to provide coverage as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications The following are required competencies of the position that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job: Demonstrated proficiency in Windows, MS Office Suite including; Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, internet/intranet and other organizational specific software. Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated excellent training skills involving making presentations covering various topics. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required. Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, supply-chain management, or similar areas preferred. Three years of supervisory experience required. Five years of experience in dairy or food production, manufacturing, industrial process operations or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements preferred. Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP's, OSHA and loss control programs is highly desirable. Ability to maintain valid driver's license and forklift license. Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid certification. The employee will frequently have to walk and stand. The employee should have the ability to regularly lift up to 55lbs. The employee must be able to push and pull up to 75lbs.
