The Techneaux ISC (Industrial System Communications) BU's main objective is to enhance Techneaux's current offerings adding industrial grade communications services. Leveraging long-term experience and a transfer of knowledge strategy, the ISC can engage within any area of the Techneaux domain where a communications element exists. ICS Is hiring Auto-Comm Technicians in the Permian, San Antonio/Eagle Ford, and Fort Range Colorado.Primary Responsibilities:
Operate Midland/Odessa (Permian), or San Antonio (Eagle Ford) TX or Front Range Colorado Deploy solutions or work with contractors/tower crews/customer to ensure solution is deployed as intended. Support the integration of PLCs, SCADA systems, RTUs, HMIs, Totalflow, and other industrial automation components Manage customer expectations and deliver status and follow up. Deploy wireless solutions as developed by Team Architect and/or Lead Perform maintenance on industrial grade automation and wireless systems Work closely with OU Lead or Supervisor to meet goals of the department and more importantly customer success. Build strong relationships with our customers, striving for a deep understanding of how we can support their comms needs. Engage with internal project teams on joint customer projects and serve as a facilitator between Techneaux and the customer. Partner with BU/OU leads to help provide solutions to our customers. Continually increase your product knowledge by working closely with our operating units 10% office work, 90% field work (high utilization % required within one or two months)Minimum Requirements:
3 to 5 years of industrial automation or communications systems Experience preferred in field automation systems, and wireless technology (not WiFi) Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.) and network devices (switches, routers, radios, firewalls) in OT environments Ability to be trained on systems and deployment methods Ability to work with hand tools of the trade Experience with ISM bands (900 MHz, 2.4 and 5.8 GHz) as well as but not required in narrowband licensed 220, 450, and 900 MHz MFG automation hardware related experience not specific but related; Allen Bradley, Siemens, Fisher ROC, RedLion, or Bristol Babcock MFG wireless hardware experience not specific to but related; network switches, Industrial Grade radio platforms such as Xetawave, GE MDS, Freewave, Cambium, Ubiquiti, and Tropos mesh Hungry! Slightly competitive with a strong desire and ability to help customers and drive success Strong in-person, over-the-phone, and online communication and presentation skills Ability to communicate at multiple levels of an organization from field to senior manager Ability to build rapport with customers over the phone and via email as well as in person Ability to identify the key needs of a customer and the translate those needs into possible solution-sets Flexible attitude and demonstrated ability to go above and beyond the job description to achieve success High school diploma or GED Highly technologically adept with a proven proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, CRMs and other online resources for informationJob Type:
