This position is for a 6 month time period. This position provides phlebotomy and administrative support for research projects aimed at better understanding and treating neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, other related dementias, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and other disorders.

These duties include:

performing phlebotomy on research volunteers with neurological diseases and healthy controls; meticulous handling and processing of human blood and body fluid specimens; precise documentation of all procedures; reception desk duties; helping research staff schedule research visits; stocking unit supplies; following NCRU, university, and state policies for infection control and safety; maintaining a safe environment for participants who are cognitively impaired and/or have physical disabilities; other administrative and research duties as needed. This position requires excellent communication and judgment in order to provide research participants with an outstanding research experience. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
