We are seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems critical to our beef processing operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our cooling systems, which are vital for product quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install new industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, and condensers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.Maintenance:
Perform regular preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend system lifespan.Repair:
Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration systems, addressing mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper refrigerant handling and disposal, in compliance with environmental regulations.Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance metrics.Collaboration:
Work closely with other maintenance and production team members to identify and resolve system inefficiencies.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school training in refrigeration or HVAC preferred.Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration maintenance and repair, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.Certifications:
EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerant handling is required.Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and familiarity with industry safety standards.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces, and adapt to varying environmental conditions, including temperature extremes.Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position. Shift hours may vary, including potential after-hours emergency support, to ensure continuous operation of refrigeration systems.Benefits:
