The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in diesel engine repair, particularly with tractor-trailer and heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and heavy equipment. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles and heavy equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Perform repairs on various components including hydraulics, suspensions, and electrical systems. Read and interpret schematics to align repairs with manufacturer specifications. Conduct routine maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of vehicles. Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or diagnostics. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in automotive technology preferred. Proven experience as an auto mechanic, preferably in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. ASE Certificate required Must be able to drive vehicles with a manual transmission (required) Able to drive: Skid Steer, John Deer Tractor, Backhoe (Preferred) CDL preferred (not required) If you are passionate about mechanics and have the skills necessary for this role, we encourage you to apply.
