You may be the one we are looking for to join our team of Custom Integration Technicians at WAVE Designs. We are a local custom integration and design firm specializing in residential and commercial building automation, control, and communications. This includes lighting controls and fixture installation, custom home theater and surround setups, video walls and multi-display management, security and surveillance systems (residential and commercial), network deployments and troubleshooting, landscape lighting and audio systems, and so much more. Job Duties:
Building, wiring, and installing equipment racks Wiring for residential and commercial systems, both new construction pre-wire and retrofit Installation of smart home technology systems, including, but not limited to: security and surveillance systems, A/V equipment, shading and window treatments, lighting controls/fixtures, theater and projection systems, and network distribution systems Cabling/terminating CAT6, RG6, and other common low-voltage wiring Testing or certifying old/new connections Responsible for maintaining the vehicle fleet, ensuring it is clean and well-stocked Maintaining a clean job site and ensuring customer property is undamaged and protected at all times Recording and maintaining inventories for van stock and warehouse stock Performing routine maintenance, including firmware updates, documentation, troubleshooting, and programming for all customer equipment Reading and translating floor plans, elevations, and other plans, drawings, and documentation
Qualifications:
General:
Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record Must have a means of commute (Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00) Algebra-level math is used to calculate loads, track wire usage, etc. Knowledgeable about commercial and residential low voltage systems and wiring techniques Ability to consistently communicate key project info (e.g., end-of-day reporting, parts used, timelines, key contacts, etc.) Ability to track material usage and document project progress
Soft Skills:
Follow written and verbal instructions Communicate clearly with the lead technician and project manager on job status and site requirements Excellent attention to detail and ability to notice minute changes/differences Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills Willingness to learn Great communication skills Ability to work well with others
Bonus Points For:
Journeyman or Admin 06 or 02 Washington Electrical License. Please mention this in your application if you are fully licensed! Knowledge of residential systems integration, including audio/video, lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone, and computer networks Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction Knowledge of (or certification with) Crestron, Lutron, Control4, OvrC, D-Tools, or other integration platforms
