AV Technician HiTech Homes 749 West Wisconsin Avenue, Pewaukee, WI 53072 Audio/Video/Network Technician HiTech Homes is a leader in the design and installation of residential and commercial integrated audio, video, and lighting systems. We are currently looking for AV Technicians to join our team. Ideal candidates will provide professional audio visual installations, services and support for our residential and commercial customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Setup and install audio and video input and output devices, including video monitors, surround sound receivers, switchers, and speakers Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling and terminating cables, mounting TVs/projectors and installing surveillance systems Work on a team with other A/V technicians, and report into a project manager Setup networks for both general use and for AV devices Assist in pre-wire and retrofit wiring at residential and commercial projects Perform on-site troubleshooting with remote programmer support as needed Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints Continuously provide useful feedback to engineering team to refine future installations Capable of learning quickly, on-the-fly, with a minimum level of management support Skills and Abilities Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control systems Networking/IT and competency is preferred A natural learner - new skills are acquired with ease Problem solver Great with computers Curious personality Interest in and ability to learn new technologies Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Pass background check and possess valid driver's license Previous work experience in AV integration, cable/telephone/ISP, or security system installation is a plus, but not required Knowledge of or certification in any of the following a plus, but not required IT Networking products (Cisco, Netgear, Ubiquiti, Etc…) Crestron Lutron Control4 DSP Platforms (QSC QSys, BSS, Biamp, Symetrix, Etc…) Experience with Bluebeam Revu software is a plus, but not required Technical theater/live production/stagehand work is a plus, but not required This work can involve heavy lifting and carrying of A/V equipment, working on ladders for extended periods, or require entry to confined spaces. Projects will include residential and commercial customers, with year-round installations both indoor and outdoor. We are a regional company and overnight travel is not a requirement of this job! Technicians are issued company-supplied laptops and operate a company vehicle during business hours. A personal office space for paperwork and job preparation is provided.
