WORK SHIFT
First Shift (United States of America)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reads blueprints, prepares materials, sets up welding materials,performs TIG welding, inspects welds, and maintains equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSLearn to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understandthe specific welding requirements for a project.

Prepare metal components by cutting them to the right size and shape andcleaning and grinding surfaces before welding.

Sets up welding equipment properly, including gas tanks, torches, andregulators.

Performs the Tig welding techniqueInspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and identifypotential issues.

Maintains welding equipment and troubleshoots any malfunctions and/or asksfor assistance from the Shift Manager when they have questions andor/concerns.

Maintains clean work areas and a clean work environment.

Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual,dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs ofthe department and the organization.

Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.

Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE asneeded, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regardingequipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.

Performs effectively as a team member, can work well with others, is opento receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone respectfully.

Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for ownactions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.

Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issuesto management.

Understands the department's key performance indicators (KPIs) andcontributes to achieving these goals individually and as a team.

ADDITIONAL
RESPONSIBILITIESMust be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open topossible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.

Some travel may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSTIG
Welding experience2-5 years experience in the fieldHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to read from drawings/templatesAbility to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral,diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
