As a Water Treatment Technician, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor and control the operation of clarifier systems to ensure efficient separation of solids from wastewater. Adjust flow rates, chemical dosages, and other parameters to optimize performance. Conduct regular tests on water quality, including turbidity, pH, and solids concentration. Record and analyze data to identify trends and make necessary adjustments to processes. Perform routine maintenance on clarifier equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime. Ensurepliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Prepare and submit reports on clarifier performance and maintenance activities. Ad to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in training programs to stay updated on best practices and new technologies in wastewater treatment. Work closely with other operators, engineers, and maintenance personnel to ensure the overall efficiency of the wastewater treatment process. Assist in the training of new staff on clarifier operations and safety procedures.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in water treatment or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is advantageous. Knowledge of clarifier operations, water quality testing, and environmental regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Goodmunication skills, both verbal and written.
