Drivers are expected to drive a box truck or tractor-trailer combination with a capacity of more than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Drivers are required to load and unload items using various methods. This position will report directly to the Transportation Supervisor. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum 1 years of experience as a CDL Driver Must have or be able to acquire a valid intrastate CDL license. You are required to uphold the CDL license that was possessed at the time of employment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. Maintain basic logs and records. Carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts and vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions. Ability to load and unload heavy, and awkward cargo utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks or hand carts. Ability to repeatedly lift up to 51 pounds at a time. Essential Job Functions Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, including deliveries and pickups. Operates vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state, and federal requirements and Company expectations for the Fleet; maintains a clean and safe vehicle. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair and fuel truck daily. Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt, and maintain mileage logs. Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to direct supervisor. Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required. All other duties as assigned. Work Environment Regularly work in vehicles for long periods of time. Schedule and Benefits Pay:
Class A starts at $24.00 per hour Class B starts at $21.00 per hour.Benefits:
