Solar Install Technician Midwest Solar Solutions Shiloh, IL Join a tight knit family of individuals who are eager to push the solar needle forward!
About Midwest Solar Solutions:
We are a small 11 person team that averages 7 to 12 installs / month. We are a 7 - year old company. Every year we have grown more and more. We all strongly believe in the growth of this industry and are in it for the long haul. Leadership is fairly young. We have 2 licensed electricians on staff and need to bring in someone who is eager to learn and work hard. Pay and effort are directly correlated. This position has the ability to obtain a leadership role rapidly. We can teach skills, not attitude!

Position Responsibilities:
Be flexible in your role and a Team first attitude Install quality PV installation to system design specifications Problem solve system layouts when design specifications require adjustment Eager to learn through on-site and computer applications Help set up and clean up job site Be polite and professional to our customers
Physical Requirements:
Lift 75 pounds repeatedly Bend over and kneel on surfaces Squat, crawl, twist in variety of ways Drive power tools and use other small tools such as hammers and wrenches Handle inclement weather Sit in vehicle for long periods
Essential Functions:
Stage materials and tools Perform quality roof penetrations Assemble racking, mounting systems and modules per specification Ground and wire the modules and combiner box Assist with general ground support Assist with general site preparation and clean up Deliver a high level of customer service
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
COACHABLE
Understanding tool use and basic familiarity with construction practices Must be organized and self-motivated Must have excellent teamwork and communication skills including the ability to foster a positive team environment through collaborative decision-making Must have a clean driving record and access to transportation to job site Preferred but not required: NABCEP certification, OSHA-10 safety certification, and previous construction experience
