Job Description

Automotive Service Advisor hallada auto group 306 East Leffler Street, Dodgeville, WI 53533 We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dealership team in the role of Automotive Service Advisor. GM experience is a plus, but not necessary. Communication with customers about their vehicle repair needs and relaying information to the service technicians effectively is key in this position. Greeting customers and helping them determine repairs costs and maintaining knowledge about dealership services and contacting customers to update them on their vehicle's repair status. Friendly, outgoing person that can multi-task and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience preferred, but will train the right person
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Previous customer service experience Valid driver's license

Responsibilities:
Initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested. Verifies warranty and service contract coverage, developing estimates, writing repair orders, and maintaining customer rapport and records. Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules. Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor. Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required. Obtains approval signatures and enters RO into service database system. Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer's approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns and temporary transportation. Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers' publications.
