We specialize in Quality Level B locating to assist engineers and planners in the design of new or proposed underground infrastructure. In addition, we offer construction locating services for private utilities, ensuring safe and efficient excavation during construction projects. By delivering precise utility data and analysis, we help ensure the safety, efficiency, and success of construction and excavation projects. From Private Utility Locating and Vacuum Excavation to pioneering 3D Ground Penetrating Radar Mapping , we ensure no surprises during construction by identifying every potential utility conflict before it becomes a problem.
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Utility Locators with a strong background in both private and public utility locating. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using and interpreting locating equipment, including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic (EM) Locating devices. Expertise in Quality Level B designating, utility records research, and familiarity with
ASCE SUE
standards is essential. The role also requires producing detailed reports and interpreting civil construction drawings. Experience in GPS mapping or surveying is a plus but not required. This job may require up to 20% travel, primarily within Arizona and surrounding regions, to support project needs.
What You'll Do Locate Underground Utilities :
Operate tools like GPR and electromagnetic locators to accurately detect and map subsurface utilities, ensuring all potential conflicts are identified and documented.
Collect and Document Data :
Create field sketches, gather utility information, and produce clear, detailed daily reports. Collaborate with a
Skilled Team :
Work with experienced professionals who are passionate about utility locating and solving real-world challenges.
Prioritize Safety and Accuracy :
Lead projects safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and maintaining high-quality standards. Work in
Dynamic Environments :
Adapt to various job sites and project conditions, with opportunities to visit new locations regularly.
Build Client Relationships :
Provide excellent service and clear communication to meet and exceed client expectations.
Interpret Utility Records and Plans :
Review utility records and civil construction drawings to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
What You'll Need:
Minimum of 3 years of private & public utility locating, with expertise in the operation and interpretation of all types of underground utility locating equipment (GPR, pipe and cable locators) Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (MVR). A strong sense of safety and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work as part of a team and lead projects with confidence.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with GPS mapping or surveying (preferred but not required). Background in survey and mapping. Strong understanding of
ASCE SUE
