Job Description

Police Officer 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 345 Tequesta Dr, Tequesta, FL 33469 POLICE OFFICER Police Department The Village is currently accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer. This position protects life and property, enforces federal, state and local laws, investigates criminal activity and responds to emergency/non-emergency situations. Open until filled. The current starting pay is $66,532.86, and negotiations have commenced between the Village and the PBA for a new 3-year contract, to take effect 10/1/2025.
NOTE:

A pplicants who have not completed Florida basic police officer academy training will not be considered and neither will applications without the fully completed package . Be 21 years of age or older Have a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by completion of basic police officer training academy Have U.S. citizenship Be able to pass a medical examination Be able to pass a thorough background check Possess a valid Florida driver's license or be able to obtain one prior to employment
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Demonstrated ability to perform work requiring little supervision Good physical condition Sound conflict resolution skills Sound oral and written communication skills Technical competence with computers
