M-F 8am to 5pm (Includes a 1 hour lunch)
Pay:
$20-$24/hr (based on experience) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Forklift Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with forklift maintenance and repairs, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards. Duties Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with engines, brakes, transmissions, and lifting mechanisms. Conduct comprehensive equipment diagnostics using specialized tools and software. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about equipment status and repair needs. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Skills Proven experience as a Forklift Technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment. Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and equipment. Certifications (such as ASE or forklift-specific credentials) are preferred but not required. Education High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational certification is a plus.
