Requires strong customer service and mechanical skills. Successful candidates must be able to provide complete field support to our customers including installation, wiring, troubleshooting, service and customer training. Candidates must have strong problem solving skills pertaining to mechanical, electrical, PLC controls and HVAC. Core Responsibilities include : Assist in building UV LED, Arc UV & IR & Air Impingement Drying systems on the production floor. Work with production personnel along with mechanical & electrical engineers. Perform multiple tasks within the production process. Be accurate and precise with power tools, hand tools and test electrical equipment. Perform layout work, and secondary machining operations, drilling, tapping and deburring. Inspect machined parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers. In-House (factory) testing of UV LED, Arc Lamp UV Curing Systems, IR & Air Impingement Drying systems. Troubleshooting customer problems both in the field and over the telephone/internet. Installing and starting up UV LED, Arc Lamp UV Curing Systems & IR & Air Impingement Drying systems at customer facilities located primarily in North America. Keep detailed reports of the systems upon which you perform service and/or support. Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Education Preferred:
High School Degree or GED. Degree or training in electrical engineering or engineering technology a plus.
Qualifications:
Reading Mechanical Drawings a must. Reading Electrical Schematics a must. CAD experience beneficial but not necessary. Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields. Familiarity with assembly tools and basic electrical testing equipment. Ability to handle physical workload and lift 40lbs. A strong team player who welcomes the opportunity to assist others and is willing to perform a variety of tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Experience Required:
Must have experience with PLCs and HMIs. Knowledge and use of following test equipment: digital multimeter with Amp Clamp, Digital Temperature meter. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical hand and power tools. Ability to train operators and maintenance personnel in operation of equipment.
Travel:
Willing and able to travel throughout North America and, on occasion, worldwide. Estimated travel time ranges between 20% to 30% and should never exceed 50%.
