Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing processes to facilitate efficient medical collection and record management. Responsibilities Review and analyze patient medical records to assign accurate codes Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to medical coding and billing. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation or coding. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices, regulations, and changes in the healthcare industry. Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and securely stored. Support the medical office staff in resolving billing issues related to coded services. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance coding skills. Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology and concepts related to healthcare documentation. Experience in medical billing processes and practices is preferred. Familiarity with medical collection procedures and regulations. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for accurate code assignment. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
