Ink/Graphic Technician (1985)-Multiple Openings Flint Group Arden Hills, MN 55112

NOTE:

There are multiple openings available. This position also requires candidates with at least 1 year of ink mixing/color matching experience. Those with a graphic design background only would not be a match for this role. Shift 1: (2 Openings): 6am to 6pm (4 days week 1, 3 days week 2) Shift 2: (2 Openings): 6pm to 6am (4 days week 1, 3 days week 2) Competitive Benefits + Full Benefits On Day 1 This is an in-plant position within the customer's plant. You would be responsible for the following but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

Monitors the press schedule to formulate inks needed and the quantities of ink for upcoming jobs Makes sure the ink inventory paperwork is filled out accurately at the end of each shift Mixes standard and matched color ink, sample ink batches, print swatches and performs quality color check Manufactures quantity of ink to be mixed according to coverage requirements Uses color meter and/or spectrometer to match sample colors for customer if necessary Labels inks as required Monitors press related ink problems and suggests fixes for ink problems Handles and disposes of all inks properly Insures that the housekeeping is being kept up in the ink room office, storage area, and mixing area Maintains a clean and organized work area Observes company work rules and safety regulations, of both the company and its customers

Requirements:

At least 1 year of ink mixing/color matching experience. Must be able to see color. Must be able to pass background and drug screen. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum three years of successful manufacturing experience. Must be able to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds and even 100 pounds as necessary, work in extreme temperatures and be able to stand for long periods of time.
