Responsibilities for Operators Operate a variety of heavy equipment in a safe and careful manner while meeting production goals. Clean and grease machines daily. Safety. Track equipment hours. Some manual labor will be required. Qualifications for Operators High School Diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license. Ability to operate a wide variety of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, offroad trucks, rollers, etc. Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds. Excellent communication skills. Deep knowledge of the construction industry and processes. Ability to read construction drawings and cut-to-fill maps. Ability to perform quality checks on construction equipment. Ability to set and check grades off survey stakes. Ability to use GPS if needed.
