  • : $27.55/hourlyThe prime objective of the Solid Fuels Technician is to prepare and feed the best quality waste fuel material in the safest manner to the recycling process. This position supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Safety First Always. Strictly adheres to all safety policies and procedures
  • Recycle fifty-five-gallon drums by emptying, scraping clean, smashing and loading into hopper
  • Operates mobile equipment as needed to move materials
  • Operates hand tools (shoves, brooms, squeegees, scrapers, etc.
  • Monitors equipment to ensure continuous operations; investigates failures and takes correct action
  • Responsible for inspecting mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Performs minor repairs; consults with maintenance on equipment failures
  • Troubleshoots process problems associated with field operations and equipment
  • Responds to all incoming communications via phone, radio, and other verbal inputs are taken care of appropriately
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen.
  • Ability, Skills and Knowledge
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Able to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience operating mobile equipment
  • Must be a team player
  • Able to work overtime, all shifts, holidays and weekends
  • Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime
  • Proficient in English language.
