In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials and components meet stringent quality standards and comply with established specifications. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and parts to identify any defects, damage, or deviations from specifications, blueprints, and purchase orders. Accurately document all inspection findings, clearly indicating acceptance or rejection of materials and providing detailed notes on any non-conformances observed. Collaborate effectively with quality control personnel, procurement teams, and other relevant departments to promptly address and resolve any discrepancies identified during the inspection process. Ensure that all received materials adhere to the required quality standards and that proper material handling procedures are consistently followed. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing inspection activities, including detailed information on non-conformance rates and identified trends. Provide support for inventory management, material tracking, and other related tasks as required to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent educational certification is required. Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or a related field within a manufacturing or shipyard environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to inspection tasks. Proven ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and purchase orders. Familiarity with various inspection tools and techniques used to assess material quality and dimensional accuracy.
