in Roscoe, Illinois, United States Job Description Ecolab, the global leader in premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking a TIGWelder. This role is responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling components using one or a combination of welding processes in accordance with codes and specifications, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, written instructions, and/or manufacturing process sheets. This role is also responsible for welding a variety of materials including, but not limited to, stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and soldering of copper fittings. The welding is to be done either manually or with orbital welding equipment. What's in it

What You Will Do:
Fabricate, weld, and assemble components according to codes and specifications, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, written instructions, and/or manufacturing process sheets Weld a variety of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and copper fittings Cut, notch, cope and fit up flat, round, and square materials to meet design specifications using saws, grinders, notching equipment, and facing equipment Set-up operations including mounting parts in appropriate fixtures, positioners, tables, bolting, clamping, and tack welding parts to secure for welding Set up and run welding equipment to produce specified weld Perform in-process and end self-inspection to assure conformance to drawings and other applicable requirements TIG weld stainless steel tubing and sheet metal with varying gauge material Perform any assigned preventative maintenance on all equipment used Keep area clean and organized Fully and accurately complete all required departmental documentation and time reporting Continually identify opportunities for system and process loss elimination to improve safety, efficiency, reduce costs and/or increase service to our customers Recommend and implement measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiencies, product quality, methods, and working conditions so that downtime is minimized using teamwork and TPM/continuous improvement principles Proactively communicate maintenance needs, quality issues, or other situations that impact safety, quality, or productivity to Team Lead, Coach, or the appropriate leader Ensure constant communication with management on daily activities and losses inherent to our process Wear and use the safety equipment provided and follow safety procedures Assist in training teammates, both Ecolab and contingent Other duties as assigned

Plant location: Roscoe, IL Work week and shift: First shift

  • Thursday 6:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM, OT on Fridays when required Compensation package offered: $25.
