Position Summary Full-Charge Bookkeeper works directly with clients and the firm's partners and principals in providing accounting and tax services for various entities and individuals. Professional ability to handle sensitive/confidential information within the firm is a must. Seasonal overtime is expected certain times of the year and can be taken as comp time or overtime pay. Compensation commensurate with experience (base salary and biannual bonuses plus 10% commission on client referrals). Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time, full-charge bookkeeper (small to medium-sized businesses and/or public accounting firm) within the past 5 years QuickBooks ProAdvisor (Required) Solid understanding of accounting principles Work independently with minimal supervision required Ability to build good working relationships with clients Proficient in professional written correspondence Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and delegate when necessary MS Office programs
PREFERRED
Skills and Knowledge Prior experience working for a public accounting firm Experience in tax return preparation for both individuals and businesses Job Responsibilities and Tasks Annual, monthly and quarterly write-up: Perform all bookkeeping functions Analyze and prepare adjustments to accounting records Reconcile bank statements Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports Tax return and report preparation: Prepare individual tax returns Prepare tax returns for various types of businesses Prepare other annual reports Personal Characteristics Positive Confident Highly motivated Ability to work well and excel in a team environment Excellent work ethic We respect your privacy.
