Position Summary:
As a Service Panel Upgrade Specialist , you will be responsible for overseeing and managing service panel upgrades to ensure the successful integration of solar energy systems. Your role will involve coordinating with subcontractors, outlining the scope of work, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and communicating effectively with homeowners throughout the process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Subcontractor Coordination:
Communicate and schedule service work with subcontractors to meet project timelines. Clearly outline and discuss the scope of work for service panel upgrades with subcontractors. Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality and adherence to company standards.
Verification and Quality Control:
Inspect completed service panel upgrades to confirm they meet National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and local regulations. Troubleshoot and address any discrepancies or deficiencies in completed work..
Customer Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during the service panel upgrade process. Explain the scope of work, timelines, and any potential impacts to the homeowner. Address homeowner questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Other Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal teams to align service panel upgrades with overall solar installation schedules. Stay up to date on industry trends, electrical codes, and best practices for panel upgrades.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); vocational or technical training in electrical systems (preferred). Valid electrician's license or journeyman certification (preferred). 2+ years of experience in residential or commercial electrical work, with a focus on service panel upgrades. Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes. Strong communication and organizational skills, with experience in coordinating with subcontractors and homeowners. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to verify the quality of work. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues effectively. Proficiency in using basic computer systems and software for documentation and communication. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
