Must Haves:

Minimum 6 years in medical coding background 2 years of recent managing and delegating as a lead or supervisor. Multi-Specialty coding experience including

Surgery and E/M Professional Fee Coding EMR Experience Preferably EPIC or Athena Active CPC Certification Plusses:

Athena 1 experience Auditing background

Job Description:

Overseeing 6 to 9 remote surgical medical Coders (General Surgery and E/M Coders) Monitoring metrics, attendance, and productivity of the coders Assist in Audit issues, Auditing Coders, and providing education for the team HR functions including - processing payroll, approving timesheets, managing time, submitting requests for access, new codes, and reporting. Looking at lag days, turnaround time, and keeping coders focused and on track. Responsible for Case assignment; by assigning cases and monitoring case flows for coders in excel Ability to jump in and help the team at month end if they need to get caught up on coding or working on claims Conduct quarterly performance reviews and monthly 1:1's with team Collaborate with leadership to support the coding teams
