In addition, the Service Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Service Technician has a high school diploma/GED, an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record, at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, post secondary automotive training, ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification), and a strong technical performance record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Expertly diagnoses issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing Maintains leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials Possesses an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact Performs routine service inspections and tests and lubricates engines and other major components Repairs automobiles and light trucks that run on gasoline, electricity, or alternative fuels, such as ethanol Adapts to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry and in the diagnostics arena
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED Post high school tech school or ASE certification desired One year of experience in a dealership or large facility repair organization Three to five years of Ford Certified experience An impressive work ethic Neat, clean, and professional appearance Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record Can operate a standard-transmission vehicle Company Description The Jarrett Ford Automotive Group's continuing growth and success is attributable to a business philosophy that is based upon a high standard of ethics and a promise to deliver the finest product and service levels in the automotive marketplace.
