Job Overview Patient Payment Specialist II is responsible for processing and analyzing Altamed Heath Services and related organization's Cash Handling Reconciliation Deposit and handle cash according to the Cash Handling Responsibility Agreement. Patient Payment Specialist II is primarily responsible for the cash reconciliation of patient payment received from the Front Office and through the Call Centers. The Payment Application Specialist II will work to oversee the month end accruals for month end reconciliation and reports. As this position is primarily responsible to perform annual financial audits. This position will oversee the automation of vendors through electronic fund transfer (EFT). This position will assist the Patient Access Team (Front Office Operations) in the development, definition, maintenance and streamline of a Patient Cash Collection policies, procedures, and workflows. Minimum Requirements 1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance strongly preferred or equivalent Work Experience 2. Minimum of five years' work experience required in healthcare finance or health financial service required. 3. Minimum of two years of experience supporting Front Office Operations. 4. Familiarity or Experience with Financial audits strongly preferred.
