Cash Analyst (Job# 106558) Unity Search Plano, TX 75093 Unity is partnering with a fast-growing Property Management client in Plano, TX to find a Cash Analyst. The Cash Analyst is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing incoming payments, ensuring proper application to customer accounts. This role plays a key part in supporting the collections team by maintaining precise financial records and resolving payment discrepancies. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, foundational accounting knowledge, and experience with financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and apply incoming payments (e.g., checks, ACH) to the correct customer accounts in a timely manner. Reconcile accounts based on remittance details provided by law firms. Investigate and resolve unidentified or misapplied payments. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payment status or account balances. Partner with the collections team to address discrepancies or short payments. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and supporting documentation. Support month-end close activities related to cash applications. Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. 1-2 years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or collections. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and reconciliation. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
