• $70/hr This is a contract-to-hire opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and architectures like Java, AWS, and Event-Driven Architecture, supporting a global leader in product information management and connected commerce.

Remote in CST or local in DT Chicago, IL. This role offers the chance to work on exciting modernization projects, transitioning from batch processing to event-driven, real-time architecture. They are looking for mid-to-senior-level engineers with strong Java skills, experience with AWS, and knowledge of event-driven architecture to join a high-performing team. Required Skills & Experience Java (or other JVM experience like Kotlin) expertise. AWS (must have a strong foundation). Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and real-time processing. Excellent communication skills Desired Skills & Experience Previous experience in similar industries or organizations is a huge plus. Exposure to Kotlin or other modern languages is beneficial but not required. What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 80% Java development. 20% architecture and AWS integration. Daily Responsibilities 90% hands-on coding and implementation. 10% collaboration and team involvement.
