Seguin, Texas SUMMARY:
This position works with the SCADA team in the configuration, maintenance and installation of control and communications systems, including PLCs, HMIs, network devices, and telemetry systems. This position supports the SCADA Infrastructure such as WAN/LAN networks, server environments, control rooms and other related systems. Provides support in the installation and setup of communication and monitoring devices such as radio hardware, cameras, sensors and related equipment. This position requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to unforeseen issues. Must be willing to learn new technologies and apply them to the tasks at hand. Experience with industrial controls environments and safety procedures is a plus.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SCADA I
Install, modify and troubleshoot control systems including SCADA systems and their software. Troubleshoot electrical circuit problems and replace faulty components. Support GBRA operating divisions, respond to emergencies and know when to escalate downtime to restore normal operations. Identify industrial and electrical hazards and follow safety procedures and protocols. Maintain inventory of critical equipment and report any missing critical spare components. Ability to communicate technical subjects to GBRA employees who have limited background or experience in control systems.SCADA II
Duties and responsibilities of a SCADA I as well as: Install, modify, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA systems software, including HMIs, OITs, and third-party applications. Coordinate tasks/projects with SCADA and I&E technicians with the supervision of senior SCADA staff.Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE SCADA I
Electrical safety knowledge. Proficient in the safe use of electrical multi-meters. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software. Experience in service and customer relations. Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in water treatment. Minimum 1 year of experience in the use of hand tools and measuring equipment.SCADA II
Knowledge and Experience of a SCADA I as well as: Ability to read and interpret electrical and PI&D drawings. Ability to read and understand simple ladder logic and control panel relay logic. Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in water treatment. Minimum 1 year of experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE SCADA I
Ability to install camera and radio systems. Knowledge of the Allen Bradley controller family. Instrumentation or related experience. Understanding of basic radio telemetry and industrial communication systems. Knowledge of SCADA systems and networks. Ability to troubleshoot analog loops and Digital I/O systems. Experience with electrical systems, low voltage, and controllers.SCADA II
Allen Bradley Micro 800 family and Control/Compact Logix PLC troubleshooting. Instrumentation and controls or related experience. Ethernet/lP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU (RS232 & RS485) protocols. Ethernet radio configuration and communication hardware. Experience with HMI and OIT displays install and configuration.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent, or technical certification from an accredited institution. Experience may be substituted in place of educational experience.MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Work is roughly 50% indoors and 50% outdoors. Work is performed at electrical power plants, pump stations, lift stations, water distribution sites, and water and wastewater treatment plants. Persons in this position are subject to call at any time and under all weather conditions, and may be required to work long hours during emergencies. TRAVEL Personal transportation is required to normal work site at which point employee will use vehicles provided by GBRA to perform duties.
