Long-Term Contract:

$60-$80 per hour We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications that support case management and service tracking. This role will involve working with a cross-functional team to build and enhance applications that integrate with various AWS technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, API integration, and security principles. This position offers remote work opportunities within the United States.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java, Spring-AspectJ, JSP Primefaces, and related frameworks. Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful web services and APIs for data integration. Integrate services with AWS technologies such as API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk, and Logging. Implement OAuth2 authentication and logging mechanisms. Architect, configure, and optimize applications to support business operations. Anticipate the impact of new or modified software on existing systems. Adapt and enhance automated systems to meet agency-specific needs. Identify and resolve technical issues, rmending improvements for system efficiency. Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers. Participate in the full software development life cycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment. Assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support to team members.

Required Skills:

Strong experience in Java, JEE framework, and Spring Framework/Spring Boot. Proficiency in designing and building customer-facing web applications. Experience creating APIs using REST. Understanding of security principles, including access, roles, groups, and permissions. Familiarity with database fundamentals and SQL. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub.
