Company is seeking an Integration and Field Technician level C tojoin our team in providing worldwide Integration and field testingof Satellite tracking ground stations from .5- 22 Meters inDiameter to support the portfolio of systems within the DARCcontract. The Integration and Field Technician C duties include but are notlimited to:
- Responsible for the worldwide integration and field testing andevaluation of Satellite tracking ground station equipment andcomponents for both Factory and on-site Acceptance Test Procedureswhich are a part of new and performed Preventative maintenancesystems sustained by Company for designated customers.
- Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to supportgeneral laboratory operations.
- Assemble, configure, test, operate, and repair hardware inaccordance with the documentation provided.
- Perform benchtop RF testing with only the guidance of a testprocedure and understand what the procedure is testing.
- Understanding of Analog/digital Electronics andmicroprocessor-based control systems
- Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipmentfailures through designated reporting tools.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and RF troubleshooting asrequired.
- Provide documentation support, such as minor edits to existingprocedures and/or technical drawings.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area. Followall safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to themanager.
- Support facility operations through the completion of assignedtasks as directed by management.
- Assist in developing methods and procedures to control ormodify processes
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in either ElectronicsMaintenance or RF Systems Maintenance (Either skillset qualifies,having both skillsets is preferred).
- Relevant Electronics Maintenance experience is skilled in ACand DC electronics, skilled in Analog and Digital electronicstheory of operation, and ability to troubleshoot to component levelusing schematics, oscilloscopes, DMV, signal generators, etc.
- Relevant RF Systems experience are skilled in the theory ofoperation and troubleshooting of RF electronics for transmit andreceive satellite tracking ground stations using spectrumanalyzers, signal generators, etc.
- Skilled in theory of operation for microprocessor-based controlsystems, servo control systems or RF electronics as mentionedabove.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6years of prior relevant experience or 2 yearspost-secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of priorrelated experience.
- Must be a US citizen or have a green card or work permit.
- Ability to travel worldwide 40% of the year for approximately8-week intervals. Able to work solo both in-house and in the fieldwith minimum supervision.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 50ft vertically. Preferred Additional Skills
- Fully proficient understanding of RF, terminology, and testingequipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.).
- Understand RF connection types and waveguide sizes (e.g.,N-type connectors, 2.92 mm connectors, SMA connectors, BNCconnectors).
- Ability to read and understand all applicable electronicschematics work instructions and procedures and performcomputer-related tasks without assistance.
- Possess a high level of initiative and willingness tolearn.
- Professional attitude and excellent verbal/writtencommunication skills.
- Daily schedule and task flexibility with minimal notice.
- Advanced computer skills including familiarity withwindows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g.,Excel, Word).
- Advanced networking experience.
- Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings andschematics.
- Experience with working in an ESD safe environment.
- Familiar with standard electronic test and measurementequipment operations.
- Ability to solder.
