INTERRELATIONSHIPS
Maintains open communication lines with DON, M.D., ARNP, COO, Program Directors, Director of Operations, Case Managers, HR, other corporate and center staff, attending clinicians and physicians, clients and families. Liaisons with client's family members, significant others, community agencies, payers of health care services, and others, as assigned by supervisor.
POSITION PURPOSE
The RN/LPN is responsible for completing assigned nursing related services to each client and for linking clients to the physicians and to outside medical resources. They inform the clinical team about medical issues and is available for emergency medical situations. The RN/LPN provides all services under supervision of DON, M.D., ARNP and Clinical Director or COO. The RN/LPN is responsible to assist with medical and history screens, providing routine nursing care, review of medication logs and assisting in overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the client in coordination with the attending physician.

REASON FOR JOB RESPONSIBILTY/FUNCTION
To provide appropriate nursing care for clients
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
Assist in completing the following documentation: Admission Note, Nursing Assessment, Pre-Screen Testing Transcribes Physician's Orders and Implements all Medical Protocols as ordered. Confers with and assists the Medical Doctor and Psychiatrist. Makes appropriate referrals. Attends and participate in all "in-service" functions. Assists with emergency situations and makes immediate referrals. Provides documentation which reflects services for each client in accordance with licensure standards. Maintains the Confidential nature of all clients and facility activities. Maintains required Training and Continuing Education. Maintains Standards of Ethical Conduct. Complies with all Clean Recovery Centers Policies and Procedures. Performs any other tasks outlined in accordance with 65D-30. Meets with clients requesting to see the doctor to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required. Effectively communicates concerns about client health to the Clinical director and follows up as necessary. Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, assists in educating clients about health problems and medical care. Facilitates medication education for new clients and for all other clients starting new medications. Meets with therapists to provide information about client medical problems. Assists the treatment team in incorporating medical issues into treatment planning. Takes verbal orders from the Doctor or Clinical Director, documents them in the client record, and carries them out accurately and professionally. Provides routine nursing care under the supervision of the Executive Clinical Director Associate Medical Director. Participates in regular meetings with Clinical Director to discuss specific client problems. Participate in regular department meetings and staff meetings. Encourages efficient utilization of supplies and equipment to prevent waste. Maintains effective communication between outside medical services and the facility. Keeps and shares records and equipment Attends in-service education programs as assigned to learning new forms, procedures, developmental skills. Has good work habits; gets things done in a timely, efficient manner with no excessive absences, is on time for scheduled shifts, and is prepared to begin work. Functions as a team member and contributes positively to the morale of staff. Performs additional duties, as deemed necessary, by supervisor. Maintains up to date training in CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, Fire Safety, and other areas mandated by organizational policies. Communicates effectively with other staff members and demonstrates the ability to work as a team. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, responding positively to changing situations in the work setting. Demonstrates objectivity and maturity under stress. Accepts and utilizes supervision. Addresses problems noted by supervisor. Performs other assignments as requested by supervisor. Demonstrates willingness to accept responsibility. Completes all tasks with concern for work quality. POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 1. EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major course work in nursing. 2.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years Nursing experience, with an exposure to chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosed clients, preferably in an out-patient setting. 3.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Licensed as an RN/LPN in the appropriate state, and maintains current licensure per state requirements. Maintains current CPR certification. 4.
