Position Summary:
The Heavy Truck Service Manager is responsible formanaging the daily operations of the service department, ensuring theefficient, safe, and profitable servicing of heavy-duty trucks. Thisincludes supervising service technicians, maintaining strong customerrelationships, overseeing workflow, and ensuring compliance with safetyand quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Team Management & Leadership:
Supervise, schedule,and support service technicians and shop staff. Hire, train, andevaluate performance of team members. Foster a collaborative andsafety-focused team environment.
Service Department Operations:
Overseediagnostics, maintenance, and repair of heavy trucks and commercialvehicles. Monitor workflow and ensure timely completion of all repairorders. Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards (OSHA, DOT,EPA, etc.). Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment.
Customer Service:
Act as primary point of contact for service customers.

Provide accurate job estimates and keep customers informed throughoutthe repair process. Address concerns or complaints and resolve issues ina timely, professional manner.
Administrative Duties:
Review and managework orders, labor hours, warranty claims, and parts usage. Maintainaccurate service records and reports. Coordinate with parts and salesdepartments as needed.
Financial Performance:
Monitor service departmentprofitability and efficiency. Assist with budgeting, cost control, andrevenue forecasting. Identify areas for improvement in productivity andservice profitability.\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
Qualifications:
Experience:
o 5+ years in heavy-duty truck repair orfleet maintenance. o 2+ years of experience in a service management orsupervisory role.
Education:
o High school diploma or GED required. oTechnical certification or associate degree in diesel technology or arelated field preferred.
Skills:
o Strong leadership and communicationabilities. o Proficient in service management software and diagnostictools. o Solid understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems,hydraulics, and DOT compliance.
Certifications:
o ASE certificationspreferred. o Valid driver\'s license required; CDL is a plus.\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
Physical Requirements:
